Privacy Behavior in Smart Cities

In this article, the authors present exploratory research about privacy behaviour in a smart city. They ask if and why people share personal data city environment. designed gamified survey that offers realistic scenarios which are asked to identify technologies or withhold their data. The findings show most respondents willing for surveillance purposes security benefits. found was directly strongly explained by concerns: with more concerns shared less than others. Smart literacy had much smaller effect on behaviour, as did age, education, income. no of gender place residence any dependent variables. discuss meanings these outcomes local governments matter digital placemaking (i.e., designing way makes technology visible provides transparency respect governance).
